Coillte buyout of MDF firm finalised

PAPERWORK on Coillte’s acquisition of the Clonmel-based Weyerhaeuser Europe Limited has been finalised.

The takeover of the manufacturer of medium density fibreboard (MDF) was cleared by the Competition Authority.

Coillte chief executive David Gunning said: “The business will be re-named as Medite Europe Ltd recognising the strength of the Medite brand and the position it commands.”
