Daily Mail says results encouraging

THE Daily Mail and General Trust has said circulation figures for the Irish edition of its Mail on Sunday publication are very encouraging, despite underwhelming consumer support for its daily edition here.

Daily Mail says results encouraging

The newspaper — formerly Ireland on Sunday — launched in September and was the only mention of the group’s Irish operations in yesterday’s full-year results announcement for the 12 months up to the start of October.

The Irish version of the Mail on Sunday is currently selling around 145,000 copies per week. Prior to September, Ireland on Sunday was shifting around 126,000 while the Mail on Sunday’s British edition was selling around 23,000 copies in the Republic.
