Market in relentless push to 9,000

THE ISEQ Index gained a further 14.36 yesterday to 8,904.43.

AIB and Irish Life and Permanent were 14c and 10c stronger at €22 and €20. Bank of Ireland and Anglo Irish were 18c and 5c weaker at €16.30 and €14.35.

In the construction sector Kingspan jumped 50c to €17.60. CRH was 35c better off at €29.53. McInerney added 5c to €13.15. Grafton firmed 2c to €11.45.

United Drug declined 7c to €3.70 despite releasing solid results yesterday with revenue rising 10% to €1.5 billion. Aer Lingus fell 3c to €2.65 while the ESOT rejected the Ryanair share offer with a 97% majority.
