Nortel plans customer centre

A customer partnering centre in Nortel’s R&D’s headquarters in Galway is planned for next year.

The customer operations centre will be based at the Mervue headquarters, where Nortel employs more than 300 people.

In other events, Nortel’s Customer Partnering Centre last week won the 2006 Technology Sales and Marketing Award from the Information Technology Association of Galway (ITAG).

As well as R&D, engineers at the Galway centre also advise and support new solutions in customer firms.
