Coughlan invited to farm conference

AGRICULTURE and Food Minister Mary Coughlan will address the Oxford Farming Conference in January.

Supermarket sourcing, opportunities in biofuels and the future of the CAP will be among the issues discussed by 450 delegates during the three-day event.

EU agriculture commissioner Mariann Fischer Boel, Sainsbury’s chief Justin King and Britain’s National Farmers Union president Peter Kedall are other speakers.
