JAGRAN Prakashan, India’s biggest regional language newspaper publisher, more than doubled its net profit in the fiscal second quarter, according to shareholder Independent News & Media.

Net income rose 135% to 175.4 million rupees (€3 million) in the three months to September 30, Independent said.

Independent News & Media owns 21% of Jagran.
