ULSTER Bank hosted The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and Bank of China (BOC) Joint Investment Forum at Dublin’s Westin Hotel yesterday.

Investment forum focuses on China

Inward investment opportunities for China-based companies were explored, as well as promoting opportunities for Irish organisations to invest in China.

The Irish companies active in China include Glanbia, Digicel, Treasury Holdings and Kerry Group.

Ireland exported goods and services worth €427 million to China in the first six months of 2006, up from €415m in the first half of 2005. It imported €2bn in the first half of 2006, up from €1.6m in the same period in 2005.
