650 jobs to go at Shorts in Belfast

ALMOST 650 jobs are to go at Belfast aerospace company Shorts in the new year because of a downturn in orders.

Canadian parent company Bombardier made the announcement. Bombardier’s Montreal headquarters will be hit with a jobs loss of 685 jobs. Total redundancies have reached 1,330.
