Dairy farmers face super levy fine
Dairy Committee chairperson Dominic Cronin said grass on farms had improved since September and there was a surge in milk supplies to co-ops in recent weeks.
Some co-ops are now predicting they may fill their quota this year.
“With a super levy fine of 36c/litre, no farmer can afford to be complacent and every supplier should consult with his/her own co-op to ascertain their own position and that of their Society and take the appropriate necessary action,” he said.
