Dairy farmers face super levy fine

THE ICMSA yesterday warned farmers that despite earlier predictions Ireland could incur a super levy fine this year.

Dairy Committee chairperson Dominic Cronin said grass on farms had improved since September and there was a surge in milk supplies to co-ops in recent weeks.

Some co-ops are now predicting they may fill their quota this year.
