SFI appoints new director of ICT

SCIENCE FOUNDATION IRELAND (SFI) has appointed Dr Gene Wong to act as interim director of information & communication technologies (ICT).

Dr Wong is Emeritus Professor at the University of California in the US.

SFI director general Prof Mark Keane said: “He has had a distinguished career and is a world class addition. His experience will help SFI reach its goal of transforming Ireland to a competitive international centre of scientific and engineering excellence.”
