Farm machinery training unit plan

WORK has started on a new €850,000 Farm Tractor and Machinery Trade Association (FTMTA) Training Centre building at Newhall, Naas, Co Kildare.

The centre is an initiative by the FTMTA to provide a state-of-the-art industry training centre for the farm machinery industry.

Farm machinery firms will use the facility to provide product, sales and computer training for dealers.

The centre will be provided with a training workshop big enough to take a full-size combine harvester or a number of tractors. This will be supported by a training classroom and a computer training room.
