49 million Aer lingus shares sold

The ISEQ Index continued in positive territory as over 49 million Aer Lingus shares exchanged hands in conditional trading. The airline climbed a further 6c to €2.45.

The Dublin exchange was 23.32 stronger at 8,195.82.

AIB was unchanged at €20.92. Bank of Ireland was 3c lower at €15.39. Anglo-Irish and Irish Life and Permanent were 10c and 29c higher at €12.90 and €19.84.
