BoI announces capital markets division

BANK OF IRELAND is merging its wholesale financial services and asset management services divisions to create a new capital markets division.

Group chief executive Brian Goggin described the formation of the capital markets division as a logical strategic development of the bank’s international growth strategy.

“The major businesses contained in the new capital markets division operate in most of the bank’s markets and require a common range of specialist skills,” he said.
