Part two of €50m business park to net further 400 jobs

PHASE two of the West Cork Business and Technology Park at Clonakilty involving a total investment of €50 million was launched over the weekend by Taoiseach Bertie Ahern.

The park is owned and developed by the locally based Fleming Group, one of the largest construction and development groups in the country.

The business park already employs 600 people and up to 1,000 jobs will have been created by the end of the second phase, said John Connolly, marketing director, who also has a marketing role in the Bandon based SWS Group. SWS accounts for 200 of the existing jobs.
