Centre shows effect of oil dependency

AN event at the Lifetime Lab Information Centre in Cork yesterday demonstrated the devastating effects of worldwide oil constraints.

However, Dr Colin Campbell also revealed what can be done to ensure sufficient global energy supplies are available in the future.

Dr Colin Campbell warned of the serious consequences of the lack of supplies in the long run.

“As the concept of peak oil has been taken up by the European Union, the unmentionable has become mentionable. Sweden has already announced it will wean itself off oil dependency within the next 15 years and I’m optimistic that Ireland will follow.”
