O2 Ability Awards have positive effect

RESEARCH revealed today to launch the 2007 O2 Ability Awards shows 74% of organisations that participated over the last two years have actually positively changed their policies regarding disability.

Nearly three quarters of companies surveyed recognise depression as a disability. Whilst 82% said that they already have mechanisms in place to assist employees with depression.

Dyslexia was recognised as a disability by 80% of respondents. Nearly half respondents recognise anxieties or phobias. Nearly all respondents would encourage other organisations to participate in the O2 Ability Awards.
