Market sets record before retreat

YESTERDAY was a record breaking day with the ISEQ index hitting 8,112.67, breaking the previous record of 8,096 set in April.

This value settled back to end the session in positive territory at 8,092.07, up 47.02 on the day.

AIB fell 5c to €20.35. Bank of Ireland added 3c to €14.83 while Anglo-Irish and Irish Life & Permanent gained 29c and €20c. In construction, CRH climbed a further 33c to €27.40, Grafton Group firmed 22c to €10.90 while Kingspan tacked on 16c to €14.14.
