A group of 13 agricultural engineers from the El Behira Rural Development Project (BRDP), in Egypt, has started a four-week intensive study programme at the Agricultural College in Mountbellew, Co Galway.

The programme is being conducted jointly with Mountbellew Agricultural College, the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT) and Teagasc.

It will focus on the economic husbandry and technical aspects of dairying beef cattle and sheep production, incorporating animal breeding and healthcare, feeding and management, and quality food assurance guidelines.
