Vodafone Ireland chief to step down

VODAFONE IRELAND chief executive Teresa Elder is to step down at the end of the year.

Ms Elder, who took up the role in 2004, is to return to the United States to be with her son, who suffers from cystic fibrosis.

Vodafone said last night that Ms Elder had done a terrific job.
