Subway outlets overtake KFC

SUBWAY, the fast-food sandwich chain, has overtaken KFC, Pizza Hut and even Burger King in terms of store numbers in Ireland and Britain combined, according to analysis company Mintel’s latest ‘Sandwiches Market Intelligence Report’.

Subway now has 742 stores across Ireland and Britain and plans to open another 2,000 over the next three-and-a-half years. Burger King operates 631 stores across the two countries.
