Sandrea joins board of directors

THE Irish-based exploration company, Pan Andean Resources has appointed Ivan Sandrea to its board of directors.

Mr Sandrea is the principal oil supply analyst at OPEC. He was formerly associate vice president of oil & gas at Merrill Lynch in London.

An exploration geologist and Venezuelan national, Mr Sandrea has also worked with BP Exploration International in Egypt, Norway and Venezuela.

Pan Andean has also announced that it has begun work towards finding oil at its 770,000 hectare site in the Central Ucayali jungle in Peru. “Together with our technical partners, Compañia Consultora de Petroleo, we have begun the evaluation work required to identify the best drill locations,” said a spokesperson yesterday.
