The ISEQ index lost ground yesterday, reflecting losses on most European bourses.

Financial falls drag market down

After a reasonably strong week for the index, the ISEQ closed down 30.33 to finish the week at 7,761.96.

The financial sector was the primary lag on the market overall, with AIB down 10c to €20.20, Bank of Ireland slipping 8c to €14.72, Irish life and Permanent falling 21c at €19.04 and Anglo-Irish bank down 6c lower to €11.95.
