New certificate for Irish beef bistros

THE Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmers Association (ICSA) has launched its new Certificate of Commendation for restaurants and catering establishments who moved quickly to comply with the new legislation covering country of origin beef labelling.

New certificate for Irish beef bistros

The certificate, which allows restaurant customers to see that the restaurant is fully committed to serving only Irish beef, can be applied for by any catering establishment, once they fulfil certain criteria.

The ICSA initiative is supported by Euro — Toques, the European Community of chefs, and has been hailed as a significant and positive step by their members in the promotion of Irish beef as the best quality beef available.
