U105 radio pleased with listenership

UTV’S radio station U105 celebrated research figures from Radio Joint Audience Research showing it has 63,000 listeners per week in its first six months.

U105 managing director John Rosborough said: “U105 is the first major station to launch in Northern Ireland in 16 years, in what is a well established and highly competitive radio market. We set ourselves a very ambitious target of achieving 98,000 listeners per week by the end of 2006, and today’s RAJAR figures indicate that we are well on track to achieve that goal.”
