O’Reilly reveals agriculture request

INDEPENDENT News and Media chief Tony O’Reilly could have been Agriculture Minister.

Interviewed in the new edition of Social & Personal magazine, Mr O’Reilly said: “I had a conversation with Jack Lynch, who said he would like me to be Minister for Agriculture.” That episode took place when Mr O’Reilly was in charge of the Irish Sugar Company.
