French stocks slip

French stocks declined, paced by technology companies after analysts cut estimates for US computer makers and SAP AG reported sales that missed estimates.

Cap Gemini SA paced the drop.

The CAC 40 Index retreated 89.21, or 1.8%, to 4,852.52, as 35 stocks fell and four gained. The SBF 120 Index slid 1.8%.
