A €25 million office block that plans to target hi-tech start-up, small and medium size (SME) businesses opened in Cork’s Docklands last night.

The four-storey 38,000sq ft Webworks on Eglinton Street, which was opened by Enterprise Minister Micheál Martin, is a joint development between Howard Holdings, Enterprise Ireland and Cork City Council.

Enterprise Ireland contributed €3.8m towards the capital cost of the project as part of a national drive to accommodate start-up and SMEs involved in internationally traded services.
