HONG KONG’S Hang Seng Index climbed to its highest in almost seven weeks. Oil producers PetroChina Co and Cnooc Ltd advanced as crude oil prices gained on concern US demand will strain supplies.
The Hang Seng added 70.39, or 0.4%, to 16,338.01.
The measure hasn’t closed higher since May 17.
