ISEQ regains ground to end 59.25 up

The ISEQ finished in positive territory yesterday after Monday’s losses. The Exchange was 59.25 points stronger, at 7013.27.

In the financial sector the government has published legislation to allow the demutualisation and subsequent sale of Irish Nationwide. Market heavyweight AIB was 50c stronger at €17.25 with over four million shares changing hands.

Bank of Ireland gained 21c and was €13.31 at the closing bell. Anglo Irish Bank and Irish Life and Permanent finished in negative territory at €10.74 and €17.25 respectively.
