Details of agri-food study announced

DETAILS of an international research fund to support the study of innovation in agriculture and food have been announced by the Agricultural Science Association (ASA).

The fund, sponsored by AIB, will enable ASA members to travel globally to examine technologies and policies that could benefit the industry here.

ASA president James Fitzgerald said the fund provides an opportunity for professionals in the agri-food industry to engage in research or training abroad.

The closing date for applications for the ASA/AIB International Research Fund is July 7.
