Hibernian Life appointment

HIBERNIAN Life & Pensions has appointed Stuart Purdy, currently managing director of parent company Aviva’s India-based operations, to a new role as deputy chief executive in Ireland.

Mr Purdy will take up his new responsibilities in September, following a transition from his position in India. Initially, he will assume responsibility for the Hibernian Life and Ark Life businesses.

Meanwhile, Tony O’Riordan is stepping down from his position as managing director of Hibernian Life & Pensions and from Aviva plc.
