IBEC warns of potential turmoil

EMPLOYERS body IBEC has warned of potential turmoil unless more is done to prepare for new EU chemicals laws.

IBEC is calling on government to provide support to develop information and training programmes for the large numbers of businesses affected, many of which are not yet aware of their obligations.

IBEC Assistant Director Marian Byron said many companies do not have the resources and expertise needed to comply with the law as currently proposed.
