IBM in Ireland yesterday announced the winners of its first annual showcase for employee innovation.

An Tánaiste, Mary Harney, and Alex Ingle, IBM’s Innovation Manager, presented the awards.

The overall winner was Orla Doyle for an idea to upgrade an automatic planning system that forecasts orders from IBM’s suppliers.
