AGM to feature Macra na Feirme debate

ONE of the highlights of Macra na Feirme’s annual general meeting in Glanmire, Co Cork, this coming Saturday will be the national final of its debating competition.

Teams from Freshford (Kilkenny) and Newmarket-on-Fergus (Clare) will debate the motion that the sponsorship of sporting activities by alcoholic drinks companies should be banned.

The winning team will be awarded a place on Macra’s prizewinners’ trip to Krakow later this year.
