Minister on food business visit to US

AGRICULTURE Minister Mary Coughlan will begin a food business development visit to the US this week.

The minister said the purpose of the visit is to secure foreign direct investment in the Irish food industry from the US and to establish Food Innovation and Research Networks between the US and Ireland.

Ms Coughlan will also engage in discussions with a number of key political figures in Washington on agriculture and food issues.
