‘Factories must explain lamb price cut’

IFA National Sheep Chairman Henry Burns said the price cut by the factories of up to €8 per lamb in the last 24 hours cannot be justified based on market returns.

He said the factories had major explaining to do to their farmer suppliers and these severe price cuts showed a complete lack of support on their part for the sheep sector.
