Lafarge cements Q2 sales

Lafarge SA, the world’s biggest cement company, said second-quarter sales rose 6.9% on gains in France, Germany and Asia and as drier weather in north America enabled construction projects to pick up.

Sales climbed to €3.91bn from €3.66bn in the same period last year, said Stephanie Tessier, a spokeswoman for the Paris-based company.
