CRH account for top large company prize

Building materials group CRH carried off the award for best published accounts from a large quoted company at yesterday’s annual Public Accounts Awards.

Electricity supplier ESB won the best statutory or unquoted company category, while Belfast-based broadcaster UTV won best small quoted company.

The awards, which are in their 27th year, aim to recognise excellence in financial reporting and were organised by the Leinster Society of Chartered Accountants.
