Late rally pushes market into black

THE ISEQ index finished in positive territory having spent much of the morning in the red. The Dublin exchange finished up 4.15 points at 7,832.83.

AIB dropped 10c to €18.60 with Bank of Ireland unchanged at €14.58. In the second line Anglo-Irish was also flat at €13.05 while Irish Life & Permanent firmed 10c to €19.65.

In construction, CRH climbed 4c to €29.98 despite data showing a leading indicator of non-residential activity in the US at its lowest level for 19 months in March. Grafton Group jumped 21c to €10.60 while Kingspan was 20c ahead at €13.15.
