Ireland achieves WEEE targets

IRELAND has comfortably exceeded its targets under the EU’s Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment (WEEE) Directive.

In the period to the end of December 2005, total waste electrical and electronic equipment recovered and recycled was 9,534 tonnes. The waste consisted of IT equipment, electric tools and domestic appliances.
