Bank of Ireland has announced a number of changes to its group executive committee from July 1.

John Collins, the current chief executive of Retail Businesses, has been appointed group chief development officer and will be responsible for merger and acquisition activity and group strategy. He will succeed Jeff Warren.

Des Crowley will become chief executive of the bank’s Retail Financial Services division, bringing together the current operations of Retail Businesses and Retail Financial Services.
