Up to 30 new jobs will be created following the opening of software company Mobile Tornado’s new headquarters in Dublin's Digital Hub in the south inner city.

The company has begun recruiting software engineers and will open two new research and development centres in Dublin and Waterford later this year.

The company has already raised €10 million from private investors. It specialises in “push to talk” technology, which allows mobile phone users to connect directly to other users by simply pressing a button on their phone, with no need to dial a number.
