Seminar focuses on potential entrepreneurs

DEVELOPING entrepreneurial skills will be the focus of a workshop hosted by business support group CorkBIC tomorrow.
Seminar focuses on potential entrepreneurs

The EnterpriseStart seminar is aimed at individuals considering a career move that would like to learn more about starting their own business. It will be headed by Kevin Kelly, a leading author on motivation and leadership.

Event organiser Eileen Moloney said most participants would be managers in existing organisations or self-employed. The event would help those taking part to discover whether entrepreneurship would suit their individual profiles.

The workshop will be delivered over two evening sessions in Cork’s Maryborough House Hotel.

The follow-up session, which will take place on April 26, will explore funding options and feature case studies on entrepreneurs that have gone through the start-up process.

The event will be hosted in conjunction with state business development agency Enterprise Ireland and is sponsored by the Irish Examiner.

Cork BIC was set up in 1988 as a specialist consultancy aimed at supporting high potential start-up companies.

It has worked with over 250 companies in the Cork and Kerry regions.
