IFI creditor claims ‘effectively’ sorted

OUTSTANDING creditor claims relating to the liquidation of Irish Fertiliser Industries (IFI) have “effectively” been resolved, according to Ray Jackson, who is in charge of the process.

A creditors’ meeting was held in Dublin this week, at which it was announced €8m (10% of the total owed) would be paid as an interim payment in the next week.

IFI went into liquidation in 2002 and more than 1,000 creditors have been owed for over three years.
