Campbell Catering’s €12m growth ahead of expectations, says chairman
This strong growth is driven by 38 new contracts won across a range of industry sectors throughout the island of Ireland.
The new contracts will generate revenue of up to €45 million over their life spans.
Campbell Catering employs over 3,000 people in 350 locations throughout Ireland serving over 150,000 people every day.
Campbell Catering executive chairman, Dan Cronin said the first ten months were ahead of expectations.
“This strong new business growth has been accompanied by a high contract retention rate of 95%, providing us with a very strong and loyal customer base. Our average contract retention rate of 19 years is testament to Campbell Catering’s success in providing a catering solution to our clients unmatched in Ireland.
“We are well on track to achieve our new business target and the pipeline remains encouraging for the rest of the year,” he said.
Campbell Catering is owned by Campbell Bewley Group and Aramark, a leading US services and facilities management company. A Fortune Magazine Top 100 company, Aramark has an annual turnover of €13 billion and employs more than 200,000 worldwide.
“Our relationship with Aramark has strengthened considerably since we signed our strategic alliance in 2000. It makes sense for us to strengthen our alliance with a global player as it allows us to draw on their experiences in other markets while at the same time enabling Campbell Catering to maintain our distinctly Irish culture and capability,” said Dan Cronin.
Campbell Catering is headquartered in Dublin with regional offices in Belfast, Cork and Limerick. The company provides catering, retail and vending services to a broad range of organisations in the pharmaceutical, IT and manufacturing sectors, as well as institutions in the educational and healthcare sector.
Turnover for the full year to September 31, 2003 was in the region of €127 million.
