Moroccan venture for Dana Petroleum

DANA PETROLEUM has acquired exploration rights off the coast of Morocco.

The company will have a 35% interest in a reconnaissance contract covering part of an area off the Atlantic coast of Morocco.

“Being relatively unexplored, offshore Morocco offers significant potential which we are looking forward to pursuing in partnership with Norsk Hydro and ONHYM, the Moroccan national oil company,” said chief executive Tom Cross.
