ISEQ follows European dip

The ISEQ Index mirrored European bourses to close in negative territory. The Dublin Stock Exchange dropped 48.14 points and closed on the day at 7928.30.

ISEQ follows European dip

Market heavyweight AIB dipped for the first day in 14 to €20.03. Bank of Ireland was 12c lower on the day and was €14.89 at the closing bell. Anglo Irish fell 13c to €13.76 while Irish Life & Permanent bucked the sector trend by gaining 9c to €18.49 on the day.

Construction giant CRH weakened 7c to €28.10. Kingspan Group was down 18c to €12.12. Grafton Group continued in positive territory closing 7c higher at €10.30. Other main movers included Elan dropping 51c to €11.19, a year after withdrawing Tysabri from the market. Kerry Group lost 9c following company results. Glanbia and Paddy Power each gained 5c in share price and both report today.
