JOHNSON CONTROLS, the world’s largest automotive seat maker, expects the number of companies making products for car interiors to shrink over the next few years.

The company plans to be one of the “fewer but larger suppliers” making interior products, such as seating, for carmakers, its automotive group president, Keith Wandell, said at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit yesterday.
