Quinn buys 49% stake in Sofia hotel

CEMENT, insurance and glass entrepreneur Sean Quinn has reportedly bought almost 50% of the Hilton Hotel in Sofia through his investment firm Quinn Group.

France’s Sibex, which controlled 49.6% in the Sofia Hilton through its Bulgarian subsidiary Sofia Hotel Development Corporation, sold the stake to Quinn for an undisclosed amount, according to local media reports.

The 246-room hotel was built in 2001 for $43 million (€36 million).
