Thornhill to become competitiveness body’s chairman

ENTERPRISE, Trade and Employment Minister Micheál Martin has said Dr Don Thornhill will take over as chairman of the National Competitiveness Council (NCC).

Dr Thornhill succeeds former IBM Ireland boss William Burgess who retired last year.

Dr Thornhill, who has previously chaired the Higher Education Authority, is a former secretary general in the Department of Education and Science.
